When the project director mentions her, the first things that come to mind are her meticulousness and attention to detail, her willingness to work hard without complaint, and her continuous efforts to learn. She will implement and provide feedback on each task assigned by the project director one by one. Therefore, the project director has great trust in her. While serving as a data clerk, she took the initiative to shoulder the cost review work of the project. For this reason, she started from scratch to learn pricing and related software, strictly carried out the audit work of project funds, and made full use of her spare time to study installation professional knowledge to make up for her shortcomings. Over the past two years and more, her comprehensive ability has improved significantly.

Relying on her previous basic qualities from cost estimation work, she actively participated in the quantity calculation work during the construction process. The quantity of work for the Shantou Asian Youth Games project is based on the quota quantity, and the unit price is based on the estimated price. As it is an EPC project, the owner only provides the design estimate. The detailed design drawings are designed and constructed simultaneously to accelerate the project's construction progress. All payments are calculated based on the quota quantity of work. For instance, the river project of the Asian Youth Games is located in a low-lying area. The current site surface layer is a silt accumulation layer filled by blowing, making it impossible to directly carry out pile foundation construction. After consulting professional technical materials and conducting cost calculations, Yan Mengqin recommended the on-site curing treatment solution. Compared with cement mixing piles, on-site curing saves resources, has a shorter construction period, and reduces costs by 6.2%. This has been recognized by the owner unit and the project director.

In their spare time, the project department often organizes training sessions, various ball games and other activities, which not only enrich everyone's professional knowledge but also enhance their extracurricular activities. In particular, the project department staff took turns to present their respective professional knowledge, such as "Concrete Engineering", "Quality Control Technology for Steel Structure Engineering", "Key Points of Safety Control for High Formwork and Sharing of Accident Cases", etc. This enabled Yan Mengqin to continuously expand her professional knowledge, accelerate the improvement of her comprehensive personal abilities, and fully feel the friendship and strength of the team. This made her even more convinced that joining Jiangnan Management was a major turning point and opportunity in her life.

Looking back on the past two years and more of her life in Jiangnan, Yan Mengqin has no earth-shattering achievements. She is just an ordinary front-line employee of the Jiangnan Management Project Department. Engage in ordinary work in an ordinary position and silently dedicate one's youth.
