In 2019, to meet the rapid development needs of the company's various businesses, Jiangnan Management College continued to promote the annual learning and training work. From October 18th to 19th, the fourth Cornerstone Training Camp and the third season of the Ivy League Program Training Class were successfully held in Hangzhou. A total of over 70 people participated in the two classes. The trainees are mainly young and middle-aged backbone employees who have made their mark in the company's headquarters, various business divisions, branches and project departments. They are selected after being reviewed and evaluated by Jiangnan Management College through self-application. They are the middle-level backbone and management elites that the company focuses on cultivating and are the most important group in the company's talent echelon construction.

On the first day of the training, Jin Guiming, the deputy general manager of the company and the president of Jiangnan Management College, made an opening statement. Mr. Jin pointed out that good professional skills are the key to enhancing an individual's competitiveness in the workplace. Jiangnan Management has always had a fine tradition of valuing learning, deeply rooted in the professional ability building of all staff, and pursued "achieving customers with high-quality services and achieving the enterprise with leading industry development". We hope that the trainees present can cherish the platform and resources provided by the company, keep on delving into research, and cultivate themselves into outstanding professional managers, growing together with Jiangnan Management!

In the first training session, Wu Xiaofu, the general manager of the Engineering Management Division, delivered a lecture on the theme of "Standardized Management of Project Supervision". Manager Wu guided the trainees to carry out progressive thinking from aspects such as the overview and scope of standardization, the path to improving the standardization of work content, and supervision and assessment management. During the course, Manager Wu set aside time to have thorough communication and discussion with the trainees. They exchanged opinions and suggestions on issues related to employee assessment and the quality assessment of project department work. At the same time, he assigned homework for the trainees to continue thinking about how to improve the enterprise's standardization and normalization construction system after class, extending the course learning to actual work to achieve the application of what they have learned.

Project risk management, as an important part of project management, is an essential knowledge for the professional practice ability of engineering and technical personnel. That afternoon, Ge Lei, a senior safety professional supervision engineer of the company, gave a lecture on "Practical Management of Risk and Major Hazardous Projects". In the first part, Engineer Ge started with an overview of the risks in construction projects and systematically sorted out the classification, identification, decomposition and countermeasures of construction project risks, laying a solid foundation of basic knowledge for the trainees to further study risk control in depth in the future. In the second part, Engineer Ge focused on explaining the pre-control of major hazardous projects, elaborating in detail on the pre-guarantee responsibilities for the management of major hazardous projects, the management of special construction plans for major hazardous projects, on-site safety management of major hazardous projects, and the legal responsibilities of major hazardous projects, etc. This helped the trainees enhance their awareness and professional capabilities in risk identification, risk avoidance and transfer, etc. The course combines theory with practice and is highly targeted.

The day after the training course, Pang Pinfa, the company's senior chief supervising engineer, shared the course "Quality Management in Project Supervision" based on his over 30 years of practical experience. General Manager Pang traced the relevant basis for supervision quality management horizontally and sorted out the work procedures for project supervision quality control vertically, including the construction preparation stage before the start of construction, quality control during the construction process, pre-acceptance, final acceptance and the transfer of archival materials, etc. Lu Dongwei, the senior chief supervising engineer of the company, presented "The Differences between Engineering Management and Project Management", pointing out that engineering management is the management of the entire process of design projects (the entire life cycle of engineering projects), and its core task is to add value to the construction and use of engineering projects. Subsequently, Mr. Lu focused on analyzing key knowledge points such as the management of progress, quality, and investment, the key points of progress plan review, and the methods of supervision progress management. He explained, answered questions, and clarified doubts for the trainees in a simple and understandable way. Through a wealth of cases, General Manager Pang and General Manager Lu discussed and summarized with the trainees. The course was comprehensive and enlightening, achieving a good response.
The two-day concentrated teaching and exchange program, with teaching as a supplement, achieved remarkable results. After the course ended, the trainees were divided into several groups, with the company's top leaders serving as the mentors for each group. The trainees and their mentors had a cordial face-to-face discussion. During the communication, the mentor comprehensively understood the personal situation of the trainees and provided guidance on their career development orientation, work ideas and methods, professional ability building, etc. At the same time, they checked the previously assigned reading plans, study notes and other assignments, and guided the trainees to make continuous new progress in their own development in a way that suits their aptitudes.
Next, Jiangnan Management College will also organize and carry out the fourth season of training courses, further strengthening the internal talent cultivation mechanism of enterprises, and helping trainees to make daily progress and maintain a leading position in the process of developing into middle-level backbone of the company, growing together with Jiangnan Management!
