The Lotus TV Tower project in Colombo is an important cooperation project between China and Sri Lanka under the Belt and Road Initiative. It is the latest symbol of the traditional friendship between the two countries and a new milestone in their friendly and practical cooperation. The two countries signed the project contract in January 2012. China Electronics Import & Export Corporation was the general contractor of the project, and Zhejiang Jiangnan Engineering Management Co., Ltd. was the project management unit. Its completion has greatly enhanced Sri Lanka's national image and is the finishing touch in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Lotus TV Tower, standing at 350 meters tall, is the tallest TV tower in South Asia to date. It is not only a TV tower that transmits signals and provides communication services, but also has functions such as dining, accommodation, shopping and sightseeing. It is the tallest building in Colombo and also a national landmark of Sri Lanka.

The Lotus Tower is the first large-scale radio and television tower of our company and even China to go global. It has enhanced the international community's new understanding of "Chinese design, Chinese construction, and Chinese management", and has played a good exemplary role in the "going global" of Chinese standards. It is of great significance for the company's overseas business expansion and participation in overseas market competition.
